"That's a Pretty Gauzy Agenda", Sessions Chided For Failing to Offer Specifics

Meet the Press host David Gregory was looking for specifics -- what would Republicans do to cut the deficit? He didn't get any out of Dallas Rep. Pete Sessions, head of the National Republican Congressional Committee. Democrats have eagerly been pointing to this exchange, part of a 45-minute roundtable featuring Sessions, Texas Sen. John Cornyn, and their counterparts at the Democratic House and Senate campaign committees. 

Sessions assertion that Republicans would bring the country "back to the exact same agenda" goes to the heart of what Democrats have been warning. More on the Meet the Press debate here.
